It all began in 1880, when Giovanni Vignola purchased an old mill and began processing grains grown in the Po Valley, with rice soon becoming the cornerstone of his business. Since then, generation after generation, the Vignola family has transformed a small artisan business into a solid and recognized company, building relationships of trust with producers and consumers, without ever losing sight of its core values: respect for the land, care for raw materials, and an unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible product.

In 1971, we were among the first to package rice in cardboard boxes, anticipating the transition from loose to packaged sales. In the 80s, we introduced vacuum packaging, improving product preservation and safety. Today, led by Giovanni Vignola, we continue to invest in technologies that safeguard the quality of rice throughout the supply chain. These include autoclave treatment with carbon dioxide (CO₂), a natural method with no chemical residues, which removes any impurities from the rice , preserving its organoleptic properties.
